Borrowed Time

Journeying together through climate grief

The Context for Borrowed Time

Despite repeated warnings from the scientists, the world still seems unable to take the drastic and increasingly urgent steps needed to protect our future. We know that things will get worse, but not by how much, or how quickly. We must acknowledge our grief and fear, and the limitations of our hope.

We must redouble our endeavours for change, even as we can no longer know what outcome to hope for. We must mourn while we hope, hope while we mourn, and take the risk of courage in the face of death.
