Notes for Deep Waters Participants
These notes should be read by all potential participants before they join a Deep Waters programme, to ensure that they are aware of the underlying assumptions of Deep Waters and the issues that Deep Waters is seeking to address.
It is assumed that those joining a Deep Waters programme fully accept that human-caused climate change, ecological degradation, and biodiversity loss pose serious and near-term threats to both human and other life on earth. It is also assumed that:
- they recognise that the programme is about exploring feelings together in a safe and confidential space:
- and they acknowledge that this might give rise to strong emotions in themselves and/or others:
- and before embarking on the programme they should be satisfied that they have adequate support from family and friends if they need it.
They also agree to accept the ethos and guidelines of the programme, including confidentiality about what is shared and not to use or share the material more widely without consent from Borrowed Time. To join a Deep Waters programme or to enquire further go to the contact page.
